Long road to revcovery update

Hello everyone,

Sorry I havent been blogging in a while. Things have been so busy. I have been having internet issues and so I couldnt get online.

Star is doing really well. He is happy and preppy. His redness has gone down. He went from 4 pills a day to 3 pills a day.

We got star a new collar and new leash. He is wearing them proudly.

Star has been barking alot but when him and I watched a movie last night I could hear his stomic making noises so I think his stomic is bothering him today. Well here is more photos and enjoy!!

The breakup

Everyone on this site called Dog channel came up with a thing called dog dating. Well star had a girlfriend. She told me our dogs were done today. Im kinda upset about this. Oh and sam if you are reading this I hope you play this song to candy. Its called Stupid boy. You always had to be right. Now you lost it all with star. Also listen to the song below.

Long road to recovery Day 4

Star is getting healither. This photo was taked ealier today. He also was munching on his kong. As you can see in the vedio below.

He was full of fun today. The whole time we played he didnt once stop and itch. I think its a good impromvent on him.

I started his traning to be a show dog. He has alota learning to do but he is understanding things. My next attempt is to teach him to do it without a treat. The only treat will be good boy and a pat on the head. Hey he cant have a treat after every trick.

Preppy Day (long road to recovery) day 3

Today star was a preppy little thing!! I have been traning him all day with my basic commands. He really needs to remember lay down. He's not so good at that command. He will learn it soon though.

I was thinking of "Showing" me next year. The local 4H club accpects mixed breeds. She was also gonna let me do the red cross walk and humaine socity walk. Maybe if the state allows me I can visit the old peoples home and bring them some joy!

Whatever we do Im sure he will love doing and I will have lots of photos of him. He is also good at taking his pills. I see a big improvent in him. When we would play he would usally bite himself now hes just itching and hes not itching all the time. Im so happy hes finally healing.

Long road to recovery Day 2

Today when I woke up I was happy to see my poochie star was still smelling good and soft. Haven't seen him that nice in years.

He took his pills like a really good dog. He took his pills in the cheese without even knowing what was in the cheese and then I went to brush him.

He's comming along great. The Red swelling has gone down and hes starting to grow his fur back in some places.

Long road to recovery Day 1

Star has always had an itch and this past month it has gotten worse. So we took him to the vet today. Heres how it went :



Well we just got back. The vet did a mite test and it tested negative and then he said its an allergy. so then he looked at his stomic and he was like oooh. cause he has open wounds. so then he weighed star. he weighs 38 pounds and then he clipped his nails for the 1st time ever. Star was good at listing. Then he said stars hair isnt fitering like it should so he gave us a certin kinda shampoo. Its called oxy something. Then he said since he has open wounds from scratching he gave us an antibiotic to give him for one week. Then he said that star would have to go to a dermatoligest but there really expensive. So he gave us medicine that we will have to give him to stop the itching and redness and he will have to be on that forever. It will be a long road to recovery but he will get better.

We gave him his bath and the new shampoo seems to be helping cause he dried nice. So now we gave him his pills and he took it real good!!
